A great effort that Ties with all the others.. It's very dressy, it's set in Toronto, and it's got pictures of actual people in the case files. Blood Ties does a great job of being very ambient with lots of attention to background noise and well hidden objects... People who pick up these games have had plenty of training finding items, and while the items are well hidden and have the nice dual meaning (club, bat etc), they are often clustered right next to each other. There's not much to do when moving from case to case, except for just clicking on a piece of stone to "turn it on". While this likely leads to something else, I can't help but feel that the in-betweeners were a bit lacking, given that Turbo Subs now offers Seek & Find as a DISTRACTION. However, the ambiance is strong and it's a VERY polished game, there's a definite reality to it given the pictures of people, but the absence of any voice talent/samples takes away from a complete package of realism that this could have been, previously achieved by The Scruffs. Given that Mystery Case Files: Prime Suspects was so strong, the public opinion of seasoned players might be a "meh".
