foxspirit It's easily the one game on this site with the MOST gameplay. I've been playing Democracy since it came out (around 2 years ago) and it's simply the most involved political simulator you can find. If anyone has played the game Capitalism by Trevor Chan, Democracy is to politics what Capitalism is to economics. They should use this game to teach Poli-sci. There is a whole lot of information presented all at once, and it's a bit hard to get into, but once you get hooked onto how realistic the gameplay is, you won't be able to stop playing. It presents politics simply, with cause and effect to each policy explained. Do try it - it's well worth the money. rosslyn A Must Have for Anyone Doing (or interested) in Politics. OK, It sounds sad. I'm a Politics student and downloaded the game for the sake of it. But I got hooked pretty quickly - the concept was easy to grasp, but the countries difficult to manage. I find the quarterly report to be very entertaining as well. It seems very realistic; some policies take longer to implement than others, and there will be dilemmas you face as a PM/President. There are some terms used in the game that a Politics/Geography student will recognise and, while smiling to oneself, can feel oddly satisfying. A definite recommend for those who think they can do a better job than whoever's in power right now. |
