• "These days, the match three genre is absolutely saturated. Developers need to focus on dressing them up a lot if they expect people to want to add yet another to their collection, and Treasure Island falls short. • The only slightly different gameplay element that TI has, is the manner in which the shapes are moved around the board. Instead of you sliding them around, they are picked up and placed. Example: you start each level with a shape picked up with your cursor, then you place it somewhere to match 3 or more, and whatever piece was in the spot that you placed your piece, that becomes the new piece that you need to place. (Say that 5 times fast ;) Other than that, there are no unique elements that made me want to keep playing. • There are the usual bomb creation rewards for matching four shapes or more, like almost every other match 3 game out there. The graphics are average, with the explosions from the bomb bonuses going off fairly uninspiring. The music has a nice pirate feel to it, but starts to grate after the 18th level or so. Your reward for completing a level is a dancing skeleton wearing a hat of some kind while the treasures you collected rain from the skies. Sometimes there is more than one skeleton dancing and they may be wearing different hats. Yay. • In conclusion, it's not even that the game is poorly made, it's just that we've seen it all before. Match 3 games are going to have to evolve if they're going to survive this saturation that's going on. Treasure Island is simply not enough game." - SigilYou can familiarize with our users' comments about the given game and add your own comments read more comments or add yours |
